Our latest technical dive expedition by boat...in Dahab!

The Boat ready to leave the jetty in Dahab!

Rick ready to kit his gear up....

Locating the canyon system with the sonar....took us a while ;-)

Rick taking the big dive when we came back...

So a Team of seven of us went for a Technical dive expedition to check a dive site that has some nice canyons, it was our first deep dive there its about 1 km away from the shore and the sea was quite rough this day... so the dive was very interesting, we split the team in two, we went to have a general overlook of the place first, we found some really big and very big holes going down to 55 meters and more, a canyon system that is quite narrow but of course time is limited at this depth so we had to go back. We will go back thats for sure, we need to study the dive site and make some underwater maps of it. As we did our deco, we drifted for 30 minutes with the wind, so the boat was at least 1 km far away from us, big waves and very strong north wind this day...but no worries they picked us up.

Finally at the dive site, Rick decided not to do the dive so he stayed on the boat...to bad for him because he did a dive at the harbor (not technical, but kind of technically interesting...) when we came back (see picture above) the green wooden bridge suddenly dissapeard from the pear...and his feets... sorry for Volkert's laptop, your digital camera and your mobile phone Rick...they wont work anymore thats for sure, you can eventually use them as a salt disspenser on your kitchen table :-) LOL but thanks for the good laugh Rick, next time just take a bading suit ok! and let me please take some more pictures ok?
