Miss Miranda...Please help Ian....thanks to all!

On the morning of Wed 28th May, we released Miss Miranda into the sea at Assala. We had picked her up at Wadi Ginai, she was found on the beach, and brought to Assala. We kept her under oberservation for a night before releasing her this morning.

She was at all times active and full of energy. When released she made no apologies nor offered any thanks and swam off - fast.

We were able to measure and tag her, so it is with in mind that we ask for your help. She is:
a Hawksbill
female
barnacles in four areas on the left upper side
she has been tagged with a yellow tag with the number 1001- left front flipper near body
she is a largish Hawksbill measuring 71.5cm along the curve of her top shell

If you see her would you please report the sighting to the following numbers
Emad 010 5216071
Ian 010 1388458
Jessica 016 5220537
email: volunteer.rangers@gmail.com

If you can include:
date/time
location
depth of the turtle
what she was doing
distance away from you
the weather, wind, temp under and on the surface
the name of the reporter

Thanks for your support of what is an important event. These turtles are under extreme pressure worldwide. We cannot excuse ourselves by failing to report her whereabouts. With her tag, she is easily identified and we will be able to learn more about her and the territory in which she lives.

All the best,
Ian
